Megan Loves School

She looked so cute. And she was so excited. Hooray for preschool finally starting again!

Children's Museum with Grandma Blake

Thanks to Grandma Blake for taking us to the Children's Museum. Megan had lots of fun and we ended the day with ice cream. Yummy!

CHEESE!!!

So I was thinking that I need to put some photos of our summer trip to Lagoon on here, but going through them was kind of disappointing--I didn't really get any good shots. There was, however, a theme that kept popping up. Who taught this kid to act so cheesy in front of a camera?

Pioneer Day Fun

When I found out our Primary was having a "mini-trek", visions of Megan dressed as a cute little pioneer girl wouldn't leave me alone. So I headed to JoAnn's, where I found a great deal on a pattern and some cute fabric, and commenced sewing. I won't pretend I didn't have help. Thanks, Mom for helping me figure out the tricky parts.

All the sewing paid off! Doesn't she look adorable?

With some cute Primary friends.

Apparently Megan is of the lazy pioneer variety. She managed to get this very nice boy to pull her in his wagon the whole way. I kept trying to convince her to get out and walk, but she wasn't having any of that. I told this boy's mom that he pulled her the whole way, and she said he didn't mind and that she told him they were taking the wagon for him to pull some of the littler kids. Hmm. Megan doesn't look that much littler than him to me. Poor kid.

Logan Pioneer Day Parade

This is the third year we have gone to the little parade in Logan on Pioneer Day. This parade is the best kept secret in Utah, in my opinion, and now I am letting the cat out of the bag. It is on Center Street, so there is an abundance of shade, it is just the right length, and there aren't a zillion people (although it has gotten a little more crowded each year). Megan continued on her candy catching streak from the 4th of July and although I don't have photos to prove it this time, made quite the haul. We had to insist that she share the candy she caught with a two year old girl that was next to us, because she had way more than her share.

Standing at attention for the flag.

Trying to get the attention of the people with the candy.

Hey, hey, I am right here, throw the candy to ME!

Big smiles at the end of a fun parade!
